The newest business to open in the trendy Northern Quarter of Southport has thanked customers for their support.

House of Ivy, Southport’s latest café bar, officially opened its doors this Thursday (19th August) at 663 Lord Street next door to Lords Café.

It joins other businesses including The Lord Street Hotel, The Bold Hotel, Peaky Blinders, Skies, Great Himalayas, Corridor and others to create a top quality food and drink offer at the northern end of Lord Street.

House of Ivy owners Paul and Chantelle Drewery are now looking forward to a busy bank holiday weekend.

They said: “We just want to say a massive thank you to all our customers who came to visit us over our opening weekend.

“We are back open again this Thursday – Monday inclusive… that’s right we are staying open one extra day next week for the bank holiday!

“Make sure to book a table for food in advance to secure your place.”

The House of Ivy food menu has a great selection of pizzas, salads, sandwiches, fries and sides with its speciality being a sharing charcuterie board and a chocolate calzone dessert.

Customers can also order from a full vegan and gluten free menu alongside the regular menu.

The café bar will be open Thursday – Sunday weekly from 12pm -12am with food, coffee, cocktails, music and more.

Chantelle and Paul Drewery, the husband and wife team behind House of Ivy, have run successful bars in the town for many years alongside mobile bars and event companies. They also operated a very successful cocktail deliveries service during the recent lockdowns.

Chantelle said: “We have worked tirelessly in transforming the building into something jaw droppingly beautiful.

“We really want each customer to have the wow factor when they walk through the door.”

Paul said: “This is our first venture into food and we are very excited.

“Chantelle and I are both massively into our food and combining our taste and experiences into a menu that works practically for the size and space of our venue has been a challenge but we are very happy with the results.”

The venue will serve its full food menu from midday until 8pm / 9pm from Thursday to Sunday. After this time there will be a limited pizza menu available for late night snacks.

The cocktail menu brings something for everyone and the wine menu has many options from beautiful Italian specialty wine to Petit Chablis & Whispering Angel.

Coffee and cakes will also be served daily with the option of take-out coffee.

House of Ivy will host a number of Southport’s best House DJs on a weekly basis with some exciting headline guests from further afield booked over the coming months to perform too.
