Live music feeds the soul and lifts the spirits, and after nearly six months without it we are more than ready for some! The good news is that, with restrictions easing, some of our favourite venues are bringing live music back for the Bank Holiday. There are some great original and tribute acts on across the town all weekend – and even a little opera thrown in!
Read on to find out what’s on where with our guide below – but remember, wherever you head to please make sure you are following distancing guidelines and keeping each other safe
The Chop House, Southport’s unmissable bar for rock music fans, is back to doing what they do best – outstanding live music. The team have a Bank Holiday packed with amazing live bands for you, all ready to rock!
The line up looks something like this:
Friday – Xander & The Peace Pirates
Saturday – Bone Shaker The Band.
Sunday – Problem Child – North West

Or for some vintage ‘Rock & Roll’ – then how about catching the Bravado’s live at Cooper’s Bar on Leicester Street from Saturday at 9pm? Punch Tarmey’s are also hosting live acoustic music courtesy of Mike Gaskell from 8pm
There are some leading tribute acts belting out classics all weekend, for those of you who miss a good sing along.
For a bit of Elvis, then Sunday night at the Cheshire Lines is the place to go with a live performances between 5pm and 9pm. For something very different sit back and listen to the music, how about a night of Pure Paloma at the RA bar?

…and about that Opera
Spend your Bank Holiday Monday immersed in the amazing vocals of tenor vocalist David Marshall singing opera and songs from the shows. Make your night complete with some tapas to share.

The Chesh are also over the moon to welcome back The Happy Pluckers to kick start your Bank Holiday weekend with a super fun filled Friday evening in the evening sun. Head to their gorgeous hidden beer garden for what is guaranteed to be an interactive performance that will make you laugh your socks off.

The Windmill is also putting on an afternoon of music for the whole family with their very own Drew Mac live in their fantastic socially distanced beer garden, playing great easy listening music to help your Bank Holiday along.
